MOBILITY IS QUALITY OF LIFE – MOBILITY IS FUN.

And then it hits you: constant congestion, chronic lack of parking space, crowds everywhere – in constantly expanding cities all around the world, there is very little question any more of traffic flow. What we do have, though, are stress, hustle and bustle and smog, increasing health risks and a diminishing quality of housing, living and working conditions.

Is this what the city of the future will really look like? Or is a “smart” version also possible?

It's time for a new way of thinking and for new mobility concepts that benefit everyone and are fun at the same time.

It's time for a real game changer.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Why does EDAG show the CityBot concept?

EDAG has always worked on the future topics of mobility. With the EDAG CityBot concept, we are taking mobility in urban areas to a new and sustainable level.
EDAG thus provides the answers to current challenges of mobility.

Who is the target group?

EDAG’s CityBot mobility concept addresses OEMs; urban developers and planners; infrastructure associations; transport, waste disposal and transport companies; municipal facilities and logisticians. Furthermore, we also are looking for manufacturers of modules as partners and investors.

Why does EDAG work with IOTA?

IOTA offers us the desired platform in terms of data exchange and payment transactions, which is free of charge in real time. In our opinion, IOTA has the greatest opportunities in terms of scalability in all markets.

From our point of view, the mobility concept with the best payment and user experience will prevail in the future (secured data communication, e-privacy, use without registration, easy payment, micro-payment).

What is the difference between the EDAG CityBot and existing concepts?

In addition to goods and passenger transport, EDAG’s CityBots also perform additional tasks with tool modules. As a result, capacity utilization and the associated efficiency are greater than in competitive concepts. EDAG’s CityBot is a work machine in urban areas, which utilises (24/7) the expensive technology of autonomous driving efficiently

Why does CityBot rely on fuel cell technology?

Due to 24/7 operation and the resulting high mileage, fuel cell technology is more suitable than battery operation (reduced range and service life by charging).

Who can I ask more questions about the EDAG CityBot?

EDAG presents its CityBot once again at this year’s IAA 2020 from 24-30 September in Hannover. Of course, our experts are also on site and available for questions and suggestions.
