THE WAY TO FUTURE MOBILITY
The EDAG CityBot is more than a vague vision – rather, it is a mature concept with actual highly automated vehicles, the use of which is currently being tested.
The goal is to have EDAG CityBots in use in urban traffic starting 2030. Using the vehicles in the airport apron is conceivable as early as 2025.
Step 1: Real lab in the Deutsche Bank Park Frankfurt (starting 2023)
The Deutsche Bank Park is the ideal place to explore the overall robotic fleet system and to gain important insight for the scaling of automated vehicles in real urban environments.
Step 2: Use at airports (starting 2025)
On the airport apron, EDAG CityBots will be used to transport people and goods thanks to a wide range of utility modules. It offers perfect cycle times, highest profitability and process tracking in real time.
Step 3: Use in urban traffic (starting 2030)
The EDAG CityBot will revolutionize urban mobility and municipal service functions from scratch by involving all mobility players in an urban mobility ecosystem and taking over numerous mobility and service tasks in a highly automated way.
