At the two-day Digital Summit in Frankfurt, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Economics Minister Robert Habeck and Transport Minister Volker Wissing personally took a close-up look at the EDAG Group’s unique mobility concept.
With over 1500 participants, the Digital Summit is the German government’s central platform for shaping the digital transformation. The event focuses on Germany’s digital future issues and showcases pioneering projects such as the EDAG CityBot. As part of a tendering process, the Federal Chancellor had selected the EDAG Group’s mobility system as the Chancellor’s exhibit for the Digital Summit. The presentation on site demonstrates the importance of the EDAG Group in the context of Germany’s digital and sustainable transformation.
Chancellor Scholz on the technological innovation and versatile application possibilities of the robot vehicle: “The product is a good example of how digitalization and sustainable mobility can interlock.” EDAG CityBots are highly automated, connected, emission-free, driverless robotic vehicles that, thanks to their modular design, can perform a variety of tasks in urban areas. Whether as a transport vehicle, cleaning unit or mobile assistant – their flexibility makes CityBots a key factor for the sustainable, profitable and efficient mobility of tomorrow.
